“I want my work to have a positive impact on how people see not only their bodies, but how they see themselves as a whole.”

Hi, I’m Lydia…

A Female Body Casting Artist based in Brighton, UK.

My work focuses on allowing people to celebrate their bodies, and to help eradicate any shame, embarrassment or negative thoughts that they may have encountered throughout their lives, by seeing themselves from a different perspective…

And as a piece of art!

My own story

My work grew from a deep belief that our bodies are already normal, already worthy, and already beautiful, even when we’ve been taught otherwise.

For a long time, I didn’t feel fully at home in my own body. I carried a feeling that something about me needed changing in order to be acceptable. It took years of unlearning to realise that the issue was never my body, it was the narrow, unrealistic stories I’d absorbed about what bodies should look like.

Choosing to rebuild a kinder relationship with myself became a turning point. Through that process, I experienced just how powerful it can be to be seen without judgement, to be met with softness, not scrutiny.

That journey is what led me to creating this art work.

Today, my work is about creating that same feeling for others. A space where people have the chance to look at themselves with kinder eyes, and feel safe in their bodies exactly as they are. Everything I create is about showing real bodies and true diversity. The kind of representation I once needed myself.

My studio space

Within my casting sessions, there is plenty of time to settle in, chat, ask questions, and arrive in your body without pressure. Nothing is rushed or assumed.

My role within your session is simply to guide the process and hold the space, so you can relax into the experience in your own way. You don’t need to feel confident or ‘ready’.
I encourage you to just to show up as you are.

My studio is a space for consent, trust, and respect. Many people are surprised by how calm and grounding it feels … how quickly nerves are replaced with a sense of safety.

Above all, this work is about meeting yourself with kindness. Whatever you’re bringing with you on the day is welcome

At its heart, this work isn’t really about bodies at all. It’s about self-trust, self-acceptance, and the confidence that can grow when we stop trying to fix something that was
never broken.

Meet My Team

My lovely little team is based here at my Brighton HQ, and they support me across ALL parts of the business, so I can focus as much as possible on doing the part I love the most … creating!
Each of them bring their own magic to the studio, and together we make everything you see here possible ✨

Georgia

Marketing & Communications
Georgia joined the team to support everything happening behind the scenes! From marketing to admin and the many moving parts that come with running the studio.
If you send us an email, she’s your gal!

Roxy

Body Caster & Studio Assistant
Roxy is our trained body caster, offering Friday casting sessions at a discounted rate. She’s also the lovely human behind most of our packaging & posting, so if you’ve ordered something from us, chances are it passed through her hands.

Eve

Head of ‘Smelly Room’ & Casting Assistant
Eve assists me and Roxy during our casting sessions, and manages the creation of casts in our beloved ‘Smelly Room’ (if you know, you know!). She keeps things running smoothly behind the scenes, and helps make the magic happen!

I also have an amazing network of casters all over the country!!!

Find Out More Here
  • Body casting involves making a mould directly from the body using body casting materials, then filling the mould with a casting material. It allows for highly detailed and realistic reproductions of body parts, capturing even the finest details like stretch marks or scars! You can read more about my own processes here.

  • I’ve fully trained Roxy in my Brighton HQ to cast vulvas and boobies, so the actual casting experience is pretty much the same, they’re both still Lydia Reeves art pieces, created and finished by me!
There is a price difference - for the full Lydia Reeves experience it comes at a higher price point than having the initial casting experience with my lovely assistant Roxy!

  • I am excited that I am now training new members of the LR Casting Network! These gals operate as their own businesses around the UK, but use my methods to create your mould, then send them to my Brighton HQ for us to finish your casts in my studio! We then post them out to you.
You can explore my casting network here.

  • Ahhhh, I’m sorry but we aren’t currently hiring… However, the best way to find out when we are is by following me on Instagram <3
