February Studio Updates
Welcome to my first ever studio updates for members!
Welcome to my first ever studio update exclusively for members! I’m so appreciative of every one of you who has signed up to be a studio member - your support means the world to me. I want this membership area to be a space for body positive content that will help you on your journey to body acceptance and self love! I’ll be sharing behind the scenes from my studio as well as body positive chats and affirmations to focus on for the month ahead!
This year I decided that New Years comes a month late and decided to cut myself some slack this January. Christmas can be a really overwhelming and stressful time for many of us and rather than then put pressure on myself to start setting and achieving goals straight away, I decided to take January to think about healthy and achievable goals that I wanted to set myself for the year. So this year I celebrated new years in the studio with Annie and Elli on the 1st February.
Rather than making new years resolutions I decided to set acheivable goals and intentions for the year that I can aim for without stressing myself out too much! A big one for me this year is to set more boundaries and stop trying to people please and say yes to everything. It’s so easy to tire yourself out just constantly giving and giving to people without taking into account how much this can affect your mental health. This year is about learning that it is okay to say no sometimes. It is okay to cancel plans that you can’t afford/are too drained for. It’s okay ask for more from people who are expecting a lot from you. Boundries can be sooo difficult and many of us go through our entire lives struggling to manage the people in our lives who constantly push those boundaries. Remember to take it step by step.
This year is also going to be about my progression as an artist. Bodies are so incredibly unique and beautiful and I would love to explore the world of body casting further
Be clear, be confident and don’t overthink it. The beauty of your story is that it’s going to continue to evolve and your site can evolve with it. Your goal should be to make it feel right for right now. Later will take care of itself. It always does.
